In this period of vegetation you can manage the branchings and help the plants with their growth structure such as,
Pruning, by removing small branches on the lower part of the plants which most of the branches are likely to be underdeveloped and blocking good airflow around the top soil area as well as the lower part of plants itself. Proper pruning also helps shape the plants to grow in desirable growth as well as the improvement of the flowers quality, ideal technique for Sea of Green (SOG).
Topping, one of the most widely used techniques on cannabis by pinching off the tops of the plants, usually done in younger plants when there's only 5-7 nodes, helps form a structure of side branches to become one of the main colas.
Low Stress Training or LST, to help open up the branching for better light access without hurting or breaking the plants by tying the branches to a plant support or bamboo stick in most cases. This technique is also usually adapted and used with topped plants to shape a growth structure for screen of green (SCROG).
Defoliation, one of our most favorite technique which usually go along very well with pruning, by removing an extra fan leaves that is likely to put lower internodes under their shadow, it also helps plants to get better airflow as well as humidity and moisture control with more space for flowers to grows freely. Defoliation can be done on both vegetative and flowering stages, depending on the plants as well.
