Integrated pest management for organic cultivation is a selection of appropriate methods to eliminate and control pests without a disturbance to living organisms and the environment.
Such as, using sticky yellow traps or sugar traps to lure and check for the pest in the area, as well as using organic matter like diatomaceous earth to control mites or aphids.
Also with natural predator like beetles, lacewing or parasitoid which is all attracted by a diversity of companion plant and prey on pests, with the use of herbal compost tea and beneficial bacteria, fungi and nematodes such as this following list:
Fungi
Trichoderma harzianum, to eliminate most pathogenic fungi both in the root zone and on plant surface. Metarhizium anisopliae, to control and destroy termite, thrips, fruit fly. Beauveria bassiana, to get rid of aphids, thrips , whiteflies, worms, spider mites. Paecilomyces lilacinus, to control and destroy most insect eggs.
Bacteria
Bacillus thuringiensis var. Israelensis, to destroy insect larvae.
Nematodes
Steinernema Siamkayai or Steinernema feltiae nematodes to destroy insect larvae.
